Ex Beauty Queen WORKS IT at the 6th Annual New Now Next Awards at the Henry Fonda Theater, Learned Everything at RuPaul's Drag U!

So glad I didn't give this dress away. I ended up re-using this dress (that I bought at a garage sale and wore to accept my award for 2010 Best Hosted Interview Show) and I wore it last night with PINK chiffon to the 6th Annual New Now Next Awards at the Henry Fonda Theater. (Photos coming soon.) RuPaul, Ke$ha, Fergie, Selena Gomez, Perez Hilton and Kylie too at the 2013 NewNowNext Awards, and it airs Monday at 10 p.m. ET on LOGO. (The very same time I will also be on BRAVO on LA Shrinks.) So watch BRAVO first from 10pm-11pm and then turn over to LOGO and watch this Ex Beauty Queen "Work It Girrrrl" at the top of the second hour at 11pm. I learned everything at RuPaul's Drag U! On the purple carpet, RuPaul talks about "finding your frequency." (I'll post the video clip in a little while.) As a metaphysical reality TV personality, tomorrow night I'll be on LOGO and BRAVO at the same time 10pm. I guess that's super-position theory?! I guess I found my frequency. Beauty pageants—with their glitz, glamor, and gowns—are not known for their environmental friendliness. And it seems that beauty queens would have—can we say priorities?—other than the planet.

The women featured in today's top five roundup, however, prove that beauty and environmentalism can go hand in hand.



6. Tamara Henry "Green T"

In at number six, eco TV host/news anchor and Miss Arkansas USA 1997 Tamara Henry aka "Green T" is one-quarter Cherokee and grew up at the end of a gravel road in the woods in The Natural State.


Henry has been awarding scholarship money to the pageant contestants since 1997 to "give back" as competing herself from 1991-1997 helped her earn her degree in Broadcast Journalism. She created the "Green Is Gorgeous" Interactive eco-contest for the 2010 Miss America Contestants at GreenTwithTamara.TV


Henry will now be the face behind BigMaMaEarth.com which educates kids about social and environmental challenges to Mother Earth.

Henry is one Crown with a Conscious that didn't make Planet Green's top five Beauty Queens Gone Green, but has been "walking her talk" for almost ten years, living Car-Free in auto-centric Los Angeles since 2001, and hosting the local TV show "Metro Motion" for the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority to teach the rest of us how it's done.

Planet Green's Sarah Backhouse can be seen in one of Green T's award winning webisodes on the Women Of The Green Generation conference.

This year Variety chose to cover only the big three Oscar Parties- Vanity Fair, Night of 100 Stars and Elton John's. The Governor's Ball also got some coverage. On behalf of the producers of the 20th Annual Night of 100 Stars Oscar Viewing Gala at the Beverly Hills Hotel, we thank Variety for knowing that "WE ARE NEVER TOO BIG" to be included as one of the only three parties covered by Variety this year.
